Just Us Girls - Photo and Simon Says - Sparkles- Colour Create Challenge

I came across this photo of my twin brother and I when we were little... and how could I resist not using it on a Christmas card to him... hopefully it will make him smile as I know it did I for making it.

We lost our sister a few years ago so to me.. photos are very important for our memories.

I used a Canon paper  here for this in a lovely muted blue.. Added some silver glitter and ribbon.. oh and some blue gems.  Again a male card so don't want to go to over the top.  Also a little sentiment in the corner with some holographic tape.

Thank you for looking... it qualifies for.

Daring Cardmakers - Just Magnolia - Simon Says - Challenges

Wooohooo.. three challenges in one...

Ok.. here goes...

It is my father's birthday soon... so thought what better way that to try and do a male card and combine the three challenges!

This is a 18 cm square card with half the front cut off.  I put some glitter embossing on the paper at the front of the card to give it texture and sparkle!  The "Dad" paper on the side I made by stamping.. yes Dad.. all over it in black and silver.

I used my newest punch on the corners where I could.  I water-coloured the little boy in and gave him a glittering balloon.  I did glitter his laces and buttons.

Finished it off with a line of three bows and a silver peg.. of course I added some more glitter dots around the black card I made... Oh and I did stamp the envelope to match and the insert - I have used the punch too!.  I didn't want to go to over the top as after all it is for my strong masculine father lol!

Wendy's Digital Doodling - Cup Cake Tilly and Simon Says Challenge - All That Sparkles

 

  

 A lovely new blog I came across Wendy's Digital Doodling - Cup Cake Tilly... this beautiful image is one of Wendy's own creations.. I know isn't it fantastic!  It is also up for grabs at the moment with this competition!

I went for elegant.. with the subtle decadent pinks, with some shimmer and glitters.  I used watercolours to paint the image with and some more shimmer... of course!  I used a lovely gloss to cover the hearts.  Finishing it off with a lovely satin pastel pink ribbon and two beautiful buttons.

The papers came from The Decadence eKit from ..









Also as looking at this it also qualifies for Simon Says All That Sparkles Challenge to.. So I have added it to that as well.

Charismas Card Challenge No 43 - No Backing Paper - Thursday.

Charisma Card Challenge!

Cheeky lol.... well the theme this week for Charisma Challenge was "No backing paper"  Well no backing paper here.

One side is the top half as in the bra and when you turn the card round it is the bikini bottom!  

Sure wish my butt looked that good in a pair of pants!! lol

All That Sparkles!

Nice to do a blue theme for a change... Shame as the camera doesn't really get the sparkle.. well if you see the bigger image it does... what is the point on having a camera over.. well won't say how much and is all down to the light doh!

I used twinkling H20's to paint this Tilda along with some water colours.. sadly they don't seem to show up too well.

The paper came from.. link above...The Decadence eKit.  Has some beautiful papers.  I did chalk the edges and then glittered some of the swirls.

I also used a fiskars punch to get the hearts.  Of course some blue and red ribbon and two blue gems.  Layered the flower up of different textures.

Simon Says,,,,,,, Get Well soon Challenge... Mondays

A nice idea to do the "Get Well Soon" theme as everyone at the moment is doing Autumn and Halloween themes.

I made this cute little card for the challenge...I made the backing paper myself... not that you can see a lot of it.. but wanted something in the colour scheme that I used.

The Crafty Pad Challenge No 43.. Autumn ;; Just Us Girls

Ahh how fantastic is it!!  I just love Autumn colours... oh what am I talking about.. I love all colours!!  Just loved making this card... as you can see I am  hooked on Tilda at the moment lol...

I like the different textures in this.. from such delicate gold leaves to the copper wire around the bow!  Oh and of course the ORANGE lol...  I know I have been doing a lot with this colour.. but isn't it so vibrant?

Anyway.. here it is......

The beads I have been wanting to use for a long time.. and love the effect they give.

Just Magnolia Challenge... Sketch and Just Us Girls 3d Flower.

Aww I do love these little characters!  They are just so versatile and easy to use.. the great thing is being able to pencil in... water-colour... felt tip ... glitter... oh it is endless!  I even made the purple heart from plaster and painted it and glossed it!!  

Are you impressed.. cause I am lol
